Super friendly staff. Went to batting cages...up to 70mph cages close at 845, golf at 9pm last sales for balls at 815pm. They got drinks too if you're thirsty...non alcoholic
The finest golf practice facility not only in SD, but So Cal, California, and… hey they are listed as one of the best in USA! SD duffers are blessed to have them here. They have everything for long game, short game, putting green, stations with flight tracking/ data. Premises is well-maintained. New golf balls infused every several weeks.
The pro shop has all the equipment one may need. The staff is the best around, especially Monty and Coleman who’ve been around since inception (1996) Instructors are top notch PGA professionals .Let’s not forget the batting cages that are adjacent to the short game area. All-in-all the best! U have to come to appreciate it.
I have golf lessons here with Erik Brown and he's a fantastic teacher! Their lesson plans are reasonable. I've purchased all new clubs from them and the pricing is good. They haven't opened the grass to hit golf balls off since covid, and it's about time they did open it. Hitting off grass for someone with a lot of experience gives much more feedback than the mats.
It would also be nice if they had a fairway bunker to hit shots out of into the range. The practice area is descent, the practice green needs a little help and it isn't always freshly mowed.
It would also be nice if they had shade over all of the golf stalls on the range. It can be super hot in the sun, especially during summer time.
I've used the batting cages here and they need a lot of love. The 70 mph cage is erratic and sometimes the arm swings and no ball comes out. The light is also burned out, so you don't know when a pitch is coming. The machines are also really loud.
They did just get some new mats and new range balls, which is nice. Sometimes the range balls seem tired.
Overall, an acceptable place to practice golf or baseball.
Of course, the counter staff is friendly, and it's good that you can practice golf until 9pm. Remember, the last golf ball sale is until 8:15pm. The unique thing is that you can take a free practice ball in addition to the basket you bought.
Nice casual batting cage area. Best deal in San Diego.
Nice place and the prices seem fair and reasonable. The costs can add up quickly.. you have to buy a bucket of balls, it you want to use the ball launch monitors it costs more and per hour.
The batting cages looked pretty organized and well stocked. They have bats and helmets for Loan too.
last time i came here i showed up 1.5 hours before close to hit range balls. i was angry so i didnt come back here for months. today, i decided to give this place another shot so i called today at 6 to check hours, nobody answered. Their menu when you call says they’re open till 8:00 so i leave my house and get there at 6:30, the whole facility is closed. this place used to be the spot but not anymore. we all gave up on this place 😂 also evening staff are awful people seems like they get mad when you need to walk in and pay for something.
This is a great golf range with welcoming staff. You have the option to try out the virtual golf course as well which I loved when I played one first time. Would definitely be my go to golf range and would recommend anyone who is looking for golf lessons as well as they offer classes.
